   #1. This week's number one is former international swingman Shekinah Munanga (201-1997, currently plays in France). He was the major contributor in an ALM Evreux's victory against the closely-ranked Sluc Nancy (13-8) 90-78 in the French ProB (second division) on Sunday night. Munanga scored 17 points, had 9 rebounds and made 4 blocks in 29 minutes on the court. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. ALM Evreux Basket (2-2) is placed third in the ProB. This year Munanga averages: 8.9ppg, 5.2rpg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 59.4%(57-96), 3FGP: 30.2% and FT: 63.2% in 20 games he played so far. He played for the DR Congolese senior national team year ago.

   #2. Second place goes to an experienced former international small forward Christian Eyenga (198-1989, currently plays in Spain). He could not help one of league's weakest teams Fuenlabrada (7-13) to beat Unicaja (7-11). Eyenga cannot count Wednesday's game as one of the best ones. He scored only 2 points in 24 minutes. Fuenlabrada was badly defeated 73-53 at home by the higher-ranked (#13) Unicaja. It was Fuenlabrada's third consecutive loss in a row. This year Eyenga's overall stats are: 4.1ppg, 2.1rpg, 2FGP: 47.6%, 3FGP: 32.1% and FT: 75.0% in 18 games. He played for the DR Congolese national team in 20.

   #3. The DR Congolese player who performed third best last week abroad was former international forward Djo Loo Yele (203-1982, currently plays in Norway). He led Kongsberg to a victory against the closely-ranked Asker Aliens (12-12) 83-73 in the Norwegian BLNO on Thursday night. Loo Yele recorded 11 points in a mere 17 minutes. Kongsberg Miners (15-7) is placed fourth in the BLNO. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Loo Yele's total stats are: 7.5ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.1apg, 2FGP: 54.0% in eight games. He played for the DR Congolese national team year ago.

   #4. Forward Patrick Mwamba (196-1999, currently plays college basketball in the States), who plays in the NCAA was not able to help the UT Arlington (7-8) in their last game on Saturday. Despite Mwamba's good performance the UT Arlington was defeated 58-49 on the road by the Arkansas State University. He scored 11 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. There are only two games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Mwamba has averaged so far 9.8ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.9apg and 1.1spg. He used to play for the DR Congolese national team back in 21.

Former international guard Mathieu Kamba (196-1995, college: Cent Arkansas, currently plays in Spain) was not able to secure a victory for Oviedo (10-10) in their game against Castello (11-9) in the Spanish LEB Gold (second division). Kamba scored 6 points. Oviedo was defeated 82-74 in Castellon by the higher-ranked Castello (#7). It was Oviedo's sixth consecutive loss in a row. Kamba has relatively good stats this season: 12.4ppg and 4.5rpg. He has a dual citizenship: DR Congolese and Canadian. Kamba used to play for the DR Congolese national team years ago.

   #6. Center Herve Kabasele (208-1996, currently plays in Spain) is a teammate of previously mentioned Mathieu Kamba and both played together in the last Spanish LEB Gold game. Kabasele couldn't help Oviedo (10-10) in their game against Castello (11-9). He cannot count Friday's game as one of the best ones. Kabasele scored only 3 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 24 minutes. Oviedo lost 74-82 in Castellon to the higher-ranked (#7) Castello. Kabasele has averaged so far 6.7ppg and 4.8rpg in 18 games. He is a former international player as he played for the DR Congolese senior team year ago.

   #7. Former international point guard Carl Ona-Embo (188-1989, currently plays in France) couldn't help Caen (19-7) in their last game on Friday. Despite his good performance the second-placed Caen (19-7) was defeated 77-69 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked Mulhouse (#4) in the Group B. Ona-Embo was the second best scorer with 12 points. He also added 3 passes. The Regular Season already ended. Ona-Embo has averaged so far 5.0ppg, 2.2rpg and 2.4apg. Worth to mention Ona-Embo played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. Despite he played previously for the French U20 national team, Ona-Embo is currently in the DR Congolese national team roster.

Gullit Mukendi

   #8. Center Gullit Mukendi (203-1996, agency: Promo Sport ID, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Jairis (3-1) in their game against Gandia (3-1) in the Spanish EBA (fourth division), despite his very good performance on Saturday night. He was the top scorer with 15 points. Mukendi also added 7 rebounds in 29 minutes. But Jairis was crushed 76-53 on the opponent's court by the lower-ranked (#3) Gandia in the Group Eclasif. They ended the series of sixteen consecutive victories. The Regular Season already ended. This year Mukendi has relatively solid stats: 11.0ppg, 6.1rpg and 1.2apg in 17 games. He used to play for the DR Congolese national team back in 18.


The list of other players, who all have DR Congolese passport but never been selected to any of DR Congolese national teams:

   #1. Experienced Wen Boss Mukubu (198-SF-1983, college: UAB, currently plays in BNXT-League) contributed to Kangoeroes' victory against the ninth-ranked Phoenix Brussels (2-16) 79-74 in the BNXT League in Wednesday night's game. He scored 9 points, had 9 boards, handed out 4 passes and blocked 2 shots in 31 minutes. Kangoeroes Basket Mechelen (13-5) is placed second in the BNXT League. The Regular Season already ended in the BNXT League. Mukubu has relatively good stats this year: 10.1ppg, 5.7rpg, 3.2apg and 1.9spg in 18 games he played so far. He has a dual citizenship: DR Congolese and Belgian.

   #2. Jonathan Kuminga (198-F-2002, agency: Verus Management, currently plays in NBA) could not help the Golden State Warriors (42-17) in their last game on Wednesday. Despite Kuminga's good performance the Golden State Warriors (42-17) were edged 117-116 on the road by the Denver Nuggets. He scored 12 points and added 3 assists. Kuminga has relatively good stats this season: 8.1ppg and 2.9rpg.

   #3. Junior Etou (201-F-1994, college: Tulsa, currently plays in Israel) was not able to help Hapoel Beer Sheva (6-10) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Etou's very good performance Hapoel Beer Sheva was badly defeated 88-72 in Nes Ziyona by the higher-ranked Ironi Nes-Ziona (#8). He was the second best scorer with 18 points. Etou also added 6 rebounds. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. Etou has relatively good stats this season: 14.5ppg, 5.4rpg and 1.4apg.

   #4. Christian Lutete (196-G-1996, college: UMass Lowell, currently plays in Finland) led Kobrat to a victory over the fifth-ranked Bisons (6-18) 82-70 in the Finnish Korisliiga last Wednesday. He was MVP of the game. Lutete recorded 30 points (!!!) in 29 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his first season in pro basketball. Lapuan Korikobrat (8-16) is placed fourth in Places 7-12 group. Lutete has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 23.1ppg, 4.8rpg and 1.8apg in 24 games. Lutete is a naturalized American. Strangely he has never played in DR Congo.

   #5. Oscar Tshiebwe (206-PF-1999, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to Kentucky's victory against the The University of Alabama (7-7) 90-81 in the NCAA on Saturday night. Tshiebwe recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and getting 14 rebounds. He also added 3 assists. The University of Kentucky has quite an impressive 11-3 conference record this season. There are only four games left until the end of the NCAA Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This season Tshiebwe has very high stats. He averages: 16.4ppg, 15.2rpg, 1.1apg, 1.4bpg and 1.9spg.

   #6. Charles Kahudi (196-F-1986, currently plays in France) contributed to an ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket's victory against the seventh-ranked JSF Nanterre 95-91 in the French Betclic ELITE ProA in Friday night's game. Kahudi scored 6 points in 21 minutes. This year Kahudi's overall stats are: 7.6ppg and 2.4rpg in 17 games. He is another player who holds two passports: DR Congolese and French.

   #7. Isaac Mushila (196-F, currently studies in the States), who plays in the NCAA was not able to secure a victory for the TAMUCC (7-7) in their last game on Thursday. Despite Mushila's very good performance the TAMUCC was defeated 83-74 in Hammond by the Southeastern Louisiana University. He recorded a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 11 rebounds. Mushila also added and 4 steals. Mushila has relatively good stats this season: 14.7ppg, 9.9rpg, 1.3apg and 1.2spg.

   #8. Florent Thamba (208-F-1999, is currently at the American university) contributed to Baylor's victory against the Texas Christian University 72-62 in the NCAA on Saturday night. He scored 10 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 30 minutes. This year Thamba's overall stats are: 5.4ppg and 5.3rpg in 28 games.

   #9. Charles Nkaloulou (200-F-1994, agency: Promo Sport ID, currently plays in France) couldn't help Sluc Nancy in their game against ALM Evreux in the French ProB (second division). He scored 6 points and grabbed 4 rebounds. His team was defeated 90-78. Nkaloulou's overall stats this season are: 4.6ppg and 2.5rpg.

   #10. Eliel Nsoseme (203-F-1997, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to an easy victory against the Georgia Southern University 79-63 in the NCAA on Thursday night. Nsoseme recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Nsoseme's total stats this season are: 8.6ppg, 10.0rpg and 1.2bpg.
